Experienced native and non-native teachers who teach English or other languages or subjects to late Primary students or adults.
You need at least an intermediate level of English ( B1)
Please note that this course is NOT designed for teachers of young and very young learners.
Course summary
This two-week course is designed for experienced teachers (with minimum 3 years of teaching experience).
This is a course addressing selected 21st century skills relevant to language teaching. Thus the approaches to teaching and learning
will not only be of interest to teachers of English or other languages but also to subject teachers.
This course provides a large amount of English practice throughout.

Where the 21ST CENTURY SKILLS FOR LANGUAGE TEACHERS will be taught in Galway?
The University of Galway is an internationally focused university with a grand campus located 5 kilometres east from Limerick city centre. The beautiful Shannon river runs through what is widely known as one of the most environmentally friendly campuses in the world.
Summer at the University of Limerick is an exciting time to explore Irish culture, take part in fun activities, enjoy a drink with classmates in a traditional Irish pub and connect with nature in walks on the university grounds and along the Shannon river.
During your Pilgrims course at the University of Limerick you can choose to stay on campus at the halls of residence. They are located within a 5-10 minute walk to classrooms.
Full-board meal provision is included in the accommodation package. Meals are provided in canteens throughout the campus. On check-in you will receive a lanyard with a daily credit to use for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Conditions of the school
- The fees must be paid by 30 days before the start date of the course in order to finalise your inscription and to be assured of your place on the course and in the accommodation.
- All bank charges must be paid by the student.
- There is no reimbursement of the course fees or of any other service contracted, in the case cancellation of the course by the student once the course is underway.
- There is no refund for late arrival, absence or early departure due to transport problems or for any other reason once the course is underway.
