Learn English in Broadstairs
Broadstairs is a pretty seaside town located in the county of Kent, about 130 km east of London, it is known to the British as the jewel in Thanet's crown.
The town of Brodstairs is also well known for being a residence of the writer Charles Dickens where he wrote his novel David Copperfield, and spent long periods of his life.
It has always been closely linked to the sea and is still its main way of life, although nowadays it is mostly tourism that attracts visitors each year to spend a few days off on its beaches, typical pubs, restaurants and other services associated with tourism.
Through its streets you can breathe a calm and vacation atmosphere for most of the year, it is one of the few towns that has managed to preserve the Victorian character of its houses, and where both local inhabitants and visitors enjoy its fine sandy beaches and its clean waters.
As Broadstairs is a small town, all its attractions can be visited on foot, from the Dickens House Museum, the Vikings Bay, Bleak House (former residence of Dickens) and other attractions in the area.
Broadstairs is an ideal destination to spend a season learning English and learning about British culture and traditions.
