English for young learners 7-11 year olds, course + activities (Family programe) in Totnes
English course for children from 7-11 years old in Totnes, course of 20 lessons or 15 hours per week with fun-packed Activity programme. Focus is on General English with an emphasis on Communicative Activities (games and song) conducted in an enjoyable way to ensure a positive and maximum learning experience. Activities included range from art and craft, music and theatre, games and sports, as well as visits to local places of interest appropriate to their age group.
The students make friends with others from other countries and gain valuable cultural experience as well as learning English.
The parents can be assured that while they are doing their course, their children are in excellent hands. Each child who takes part in this course must be accompanied in Totnes by a responsible adult.
This is a lively course for young children incorporating English language learning through games, stories and songs in a fun and innovative way. The course is led by one of our primary school orientated teachers. It is based around daily topics which appeal to young learners, such as “Family”, “Animals” and “Transport” and uses a mix of creative methods to introduce language including word searches, puppets and flashcards. The final stage of each lesson encourages students to use craft materials to create invitations, stories and other projects related to the days topic.
Afternoon activities include arts and crafts, treasure hunts and exciting visits to local attractions. Each activity has an element of English language learning in it so that children learn without even knowing they are at school

Our school in Totnes is located in a notable building which has a wondeful view over the main street in this pretty town.
Totnes is a place with a good offer of cultural events such as live music in bars and theatres, exhibitions and plays. There are also lovely shops and good restaurants where you can sample the famuos local products.
The town is an ideal starting point if you wish to get to know more of the county of Devon, and there are excellent transport connections to the cities of Exeter and Plymouth, as well as villages and the famous caves.
The atmosphere in both the school and the town itself is ideal for you to improve your level of spoken english and comprehension, as the people are welcoming and friendly.
