Au Pair study programme 12 weeks in Galway
Our Demi Pair programme in Galway is especially for young women who wish to improve their level of a language in a cost effective way. They do a 15 hour per week General English course in the language school in Galway in the mornings, and stay in a family home in or around Bray free of charge in return for helping to look after the children in the family home. The person is given a single room in the family house and recives full board, with all meals included whilst in the house.
There is also a small weekly payment for the duties that the person does in the house. Duties include looking after the children, by helping them get ready for school or nursery, taking them to local schools or nurseries, helping them at mealtimes, doing some light housework such as laundry, tidying or dishes.
The details of this vary from family to family and it will be discussed prior to the formalisation of any placement. The young women who wish to apply for this programme should be between 18 and 30 years old with some experience in childcare.
Our au pair study programme is for a minimum period of 13 weeks.
PLACEMENT IN A FAMILY- procedure
1. On receipt of your request, we relay this request to our Ireland au pair placement office.
2. Once the Irish office has assigned a provisional family for you, we send your file with all the relevant information and we indicate the day and time that the family wish to contact you by telephone.
3. After the conversation has occured between the young woman and the family, the two parties must confirm their mutual acceptance. SIf one of the parties does not accept, we will look for another family.
4. You must not reserve a flight or other tickets until the family placement process is complete.
5. You will receive details of your host family in writing and at this point it is recommendable to book your journey.
When you have your flight details, you must forward them to the host family, so that they can arrange to meet you at the airport or bus or train station on the day of arrival.

Our Prize English IH school in Galway is a boutique center for teacher training and language courses.
Founded in 2015 by Mary Grennan, we are located on Eyre Square in Galway city center in a beautiful 18th century building.
As we are a Cambridge CELTA Teacher Training Centre, we train our own teachers.
Our teachers are experts in preparing students for IELTS, Cambridge First and Advanced, TIE and OET preparation.
We have biweekly professional development sessions for our teachers and also collaborate with teachers from around the world on webinars and academic meetings, which help our teachers become proficient by offering different types of lessons and developing new materials.
We offer courses for adults throughout the year, courses for teachers and young people in summer.
We are an authorised centre for the following examinations: International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS), Cambridge First and Advanced, Trinity College London, Occupational English Test, Test of Interactive English (TIE), Cambridge CELTA and DELTA.

Conditions of the school
- The fees must be paid by 14 days before the start date of the course in order to finalise your inscription and to be assured of your place on the course and in the accommodation.
- All bank charges must be paid by the student.
- There is no reimbursement of the course fees or of any other service contracted, in the case cancellation of the course by the student once the course is underway. .
- There is no refund for late arrival, absence or early departure due to transport problems or for any other reason once the course is underway..

- Any cancellation or change which affects the services contracted must be communicated to the school in writing. On making the reservation of the course the student has agreed to the cancellation and refund policy.
