Au pair and study programme 13, 24 or 36 weeks in Edimburgo
Our demi au pair programme in Edinburgh is especially for young women who wish to improve their level of a language in a cost effective way.
They do a 20 hour per week General English course in the language school in the mornings, and stay in a family home free of charge in return for helping to look after the children in the family home. The person is given a single room in the family house and recives full board, with all meals included whilst in the house.
There is also a small weekly payment for the duties that the person does in the house. Duties include looking after the children, by helping them get ready for school or nursery, taking them to local schools or nurseries, helping them at mealtimes, doing some light housework such as laundry, tidying or dishes. The details of this vary from family to family and it will be discussed prior to the formalisation of any placement. The young women who wish to apply for this programme should be between 18 and 30 years old with some experience in childcare.
Our au pair study programme is for a minimum period of 13 weeks.
PLACEMENT IN A FAMILY- procedure
1. On receipt of your request, we relay this request to our UK au pair placement office.
2. Once the UK office has assigned a provisional family for you, we send your file with all the relevant information and we indicate the day and time that the family wish to contact you by telephone.
3. After the conversation has occured between the young woman and the family, the two parties must confirm their mutual acceptance. SIf one of the parties does not accept, we will look for another family.
4. You must not reserve a flight or other tickets until the family placement process is complete.
5. You will receive details of your host family in writing and at this point it is recommendable to book your journey.
When you have your flight details, you must forward them to the host family, so that they can arrange to meet you at the airport or bus or train station on the day of arrival.

Where the Au pair and study programme 13, 24 or 36 weeks will be taught in Edimburgo?
Our school Prize English Global in Edinburgh, is located in the centre of this lively city, near the main shopping area, Princes Street, and excellently placed to get around the city's parks, restaurants and museums.
The school was founded in 2010 although the founders have brought extensive experience from the EFL world.
The school offers general English courses, and has a weekly cultural programme including excursions to other places of interest in Scotland.
There is a friendly atmosphere with frequent social meetings as well as a conversation club. We offer both morning and afternoon timetables for our intensive courses, and all levels of students are catered for. We offer many accommodation options at extremely good value.

Organised trips: Edinburgh: Botanic Gardens, Camera Obscura, Arthur’s Seat, Calton Hill, Portobello, Craigmillar Castle. Outside Edinburgh: Glasgow, Linlithgow Palace, Stirling and North Berwick.
Conditions of the school
- The fees must be paid by 21 days before the start date of the course in order to finalise your inscription and to be assured of your place on the course and in the accommodation.
- All bank charges must be paid by the student.
- There is no reimbursement of the course fees or of any other service contracted, in the case cancellation of the course by the student once the course is underway.
- There is no refund for late arrival, absence or early departure due to transport problems or for any other reason once the course is underway.

- Any cancellation or change which affects the services contracted must be communicated to the school in writing. On making the reservation of the course the student has agreed to the cancellation and refund policy.
