Aims t Aims of the course:
1.Improve their communication skills in English and develop language for their own classrooms.
2.Develop a context suitable and effective approach to practise CLIL in a motivating way through practical ideas for classroom management, lesson planning and materials development.
3.Exchange and share ideas, queries and areas of difficulty with teachers from schools in a number of European countries.
4.Make contacts and develop individual networks for future participation in European school partnerships and projects.
Methodology
Participants will be involved in inquiry-based project-work tasks and topics relevant to the CLIL classroom by using the Spanish environment, folklore, sports, symbols, art, society, etc.
This methodology will be an effective way of developing communication skills in English to create a framework for planning CLIL lessons and develop teaching materials relevant to their students’ interests.
A regular language focus will help to improve vocabulary, pronunciation and use of English. Participants will be also encourage to share ideas and experience with colleagues from the equivalent level of schooling in other European countries.
During the course, oral presentations will be encouraged to increase participants’ confidence.
The course is led by teacher trainers who have a wide experience in teaching on bilingual programmes and presents a variety of approaches.
The course includes field projects which we use as a model resource to illustrate aspects of CLIL.

Our school in Cáceres, Spain is located in the city centre of Cáceres, in the neighbourhood of Moctezuma.
The school, The English Zone, is a modern and well equipped to teach English courses of all levels as well as occasional courses in other languages. Our teachers are all native speakers and qualified in the teaching of their mother tongue. In the summer we also run intensive and residential summer courses for youngsters and for adults. We run special preparation courses for CEF levels B1, B2 as well as Cambridge CAE or C1. Whatsmore we are highly trained at ESP (English for Specific Purposes) having taught professional English courses for Lawyers, Teachers and Doctors and Nurses.
Our aim is to offer effective language learning, where our students take an active role in ensuring their own progress in the language, with measured activities, regular testing and progress checks, all in a pleasant learning environment.
We have a small library with books and DVDs that our students can borrow, and free WIFI access throughout the school.
We are official center to prepare for exams at the University of Cambridge.
