A year's intensive English programme in Brisbane designed to prepare students for access to University courses conducted in English at Brisbane University (NQT).
The course is 25 hours per week made up of English Language skills work to boost your level of the language, plus Academic English with specific task work, turoring and corrections to allow you to gain a command of the language that will enable you to work or follow a degree or masters degree programme in English.
The topics include: writing reports, essays and other assignments, preparing for conference presentations, the improvement of comprehension and expression for lectures and tutorial classes, learning the referencing systems in use at Australian universities.
Students may also prepare to take the International English Language Test (IELTS) on this course.

Our partner school in Brisbane, BrownsSchool, is located on the first floor of a central and prestigious modern building in the commercial and office area in the heart of the city. This convenient location offers easy Access to shopping outlets, restaurants and leisure facilities. The school has bright and well-equipped classrooms, each with 46 inch flatscreen and projector facility, and internet availability. There is Access to Wifi in the whole school, and an excellent library where the students can do their assignments and speed up their learning experience. An impressively spacious common room is equipped with desk top computers, where you can watch documentaries, films and news programmes in English. There is also a lovely terrace for the students to have lunch together, as well as a squash court and shower facilities. The students’ events coordinator gives students information and advice about events going on in Brisbane and also about travel opportunities to visit other areas. All the teachers have a wide experience in the teaching of English as a foreign language, and the programmes are based on the European Reference system for language learning. The school offers a wide variety of courses to satisfy all tastes.
