Course for over 45s with cultural activities in Bristol
Our Best of Bristol 45+ course is designed to fully immerse you in the local language and culture here in the UK. Over 2 weeks you will study English in small groups (up to 10 people) and enjoy a varied social programme of activities and excursions, exploring the best of our city and beyond with your peers and teachers.
In the morning General English lessons, we focus on practical, effective and natural English. The classes are designed to build on any existing knowlegde you already have, whether you ve used English frequently in your working life or haven´t studied for a while. Our aim is to help you feel more comfortable communicating in English-speaking situations at home and abroad, and we´ll cover topics related to the activities and excursions you go on so you´ll be even better equipped to discuss them with your classmates.
After class, you can enjoy a daily afternoon activity and late afternoon/evening activity most nights. On Mondays, a welcome lunch is provided at school before heading out for a walking tour of Bristol s Harbourside or Clifton Village & Suspension Bridge. Throughout the week activities include exploring Bristol s Aerospace Museum, Brunel s SS Great Britain, a harbourside walking tour and boat trip and graffiti tour. You will also get a tour of Britain s oldest working theatre in England - and sample a traditional afternoon tea, and fish and chips! On Fridays, you can take part in our (optional) Conversation Club and practise your English with students on other courses; after this, we ll take you to a local bar for a well-earned Friday drink.
On the two Saturdays, there is a full-day excursion to Oxford and London, and the option to visit the nearby UNESCO city of Bath.
In addition to the programme schedule, we have a variety of optional extra excursions such as wine tasting, brewery tours and a tour of the oldest working theatre in England.

Our school Prize English Bristol International is housed in an attractive building in the historic centre and University area of the city centre. With a lot of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes at hand, this is an ideal location to do your English course.
The school has comfortable classrooms, as well as a spacious common room for the students to meet and chat or have a drink.
There is internet access, as well as a language laboratory for the students to practise especially comprehension and speaking skills.

Conditions of the school
- The fees must be paid by 28 days before the start date of the course in order to finalise your inscription and to be assured of your place on the course and in the accommodation.
- All bank charges must be paid by the student.
- There is no reimbursement of the course fees or of any other service contracted, in the case cancellation of the course by the student once the course is underway.
- There is no refund for late arrival, absence or early departure due to transport problems or for any other reason once the course is underway.

- Any cancellation or change which affects the services contracted must be communicated to the school in writing. On making the reservation of the course the student has agreed to the cancellation and refund policy.
